WiFi antenna FUN!!
OK, there are only so many hours in a day...
I’ve been having loads of fun with both designing and using various wireless antennas, and I’m going to write some of the info up here; in particular my experiences with ‘cantennas’. The diagram below shows a brief summary of some of the ones I’m working with, including my (former!) favourite, the Bundy Rum Tintenna.
I say former, since I’ve put together one that performs even better, using 90mm storm water pipe and tinfoil. This one (‘stormtenna’) has the added benefit of being both rugged and waterproof, so is ideal for roof-mounting, or even just penetration testing in poor weather.
